Today is officially the last day of school and we're all smiles here in the Koski household...well everyone except Jeff but at least he's happy for the rest of us. The boys have had a great year and we're so proud of them.

It is a bittersweet ending for us, Will is our last kid to attend Brigham Elementary and as of today, the Brigham we know is no more. Starting in August, the kids in our area will be attending Cedar Ridge Elementary, a brand, spanking new school across the street. We're sad that our children won't be able to enjoy it but are very happy that finally the folks on the south side of town will have a beautiful new school!

Joe has really enjoyed 7th grade at Chiddix and has grown so much this year, both academically and physically. He is almost as tall as his Mama! He's such a hard worker and his grades reflect that. We're keeping our fingers crossed that he made Honor Roll, he was so close last time I checked his grades! Last week he received the Tech Savvy Award(not a big surprise for anyone who has ever met Joe)and is looking forward to being an 8th grader. A year from now he'll be starting high school!

Will's last week at Brigham was pretty exciting. After contemplating it for several years, he finally decided to sing in the annual talent show. He sang "Drops of Jupiter" by Train and did a great job! I think many teachers and parents were surprised to hear his singing voice and he received a very warm response from the crowd.

The 5th Grade Recognition Ceremony was Tuesday evening and Will received a Presidential Award for Educational Excellence (maintaining an A average) and he received the William B. Brigham Award. The student receiving this award is chosen by the faculty and is considered both an excellent student and a role model. As you can see from the photos with his teacher Ms. Davis and the the principal Mr. Schoonover, he was pretty excited and happy.

So now summer begins and the boys have some fun activities planned. Will is attending band camp in June...Go You Baritone Players! Both boys are attending Kid Fest in July...a very cool week long tech camp and they're both very geeked about that. We're very much looking forward to TWO vacations this summer, Gulf Shores and the Bahamas...Mama is excited about that! All in all we are very blessed.
Hope your summer is filled with fun and family and wonderful memories. I'll try not to let another three months go by without posting.
