Up North

We headed up to MI on Friday for a short visit. Grandma Eleanor is in the hospital and we wanted to go see her as well as the rest of the family.

Eleanor is 91 years old and this is her first hospitalization in memory.
She is the just the sweetest lady and even when not feeling her best tried to be a good hostess. Please keep her in your prayers and pray that she keeps getting stronger.

It was great to spend time with family. Jeff and the boys were up in the Spring but I had not made the trip since Christmas and it had been over a year and a half since Sam had seen everyone! We missed Lia, she's spending the summer in Spain, lucky girl. Debbie and Tim were gracious as always, opening up their home to our loud and messy bunch. Don and Kathy hosted a delicious cookout on Sunday and we ate until we were stuffed.

Of course Joe's favorite part of the trip was wading in the creek behind Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Thanks to everyone up north for such a fun and relaxing weekend!
