The month of September seems to fly by, that is nothing new. However, it seems to be moving more quickly this year. Geez, it's already the 18th! School has been in session a month, Homecoming is done, the weather has cooled prematurely and soon I will be the wife of a 50 year old dude. And what's more, I'll be 50 just sixteen months later.
It all makes me want to go get a tattoo or botox or learn to scuba dive or try zip- lining. Even 10 years ago I didn't feel this way, the sense that time is running out and I need to do and go before I can't anymore.
Eleanor Mondale and Kerry Kennedy, both dead at 51. Holy Crap.
